Overview

Alivi Health, a tech-enabled healthcare company, is a fully delegated benefit manager for clinical and non-clinical provider networks, including Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). Beyond NEMT, Alivi delivers utilization management programs for specialty benefits such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, ABA Therapy, and Vision.

To replace outdated, manual processes and improve member benefit access, Alivi partnered with Extra360 to launch the CareCard Program — a closed-loop payment, loyalty, and engagement platform. This secure, multi-channel solution gives members faster, simpler ways to access and redeem benefits, while enabling providers to process and settle payments with ease.

The Challenge

  • 190,000+ Medicare members in Florida (62+ age group) relied on coupons and payment checks to redeem benefits at over 5,000 in-network providers.

  • Members faced onboarding and redemption friction, resulting in just 10% engagement.

  • Providers experienced delays and complexity in accepting coupons and processing checks.

The Solution

In partnership with Extra360, Alivi launched the CareCard Program in January 2022, providing a seamless, digital-first experience:

For Members:

  • Enrollment via Mobile App, Web Portal, IVR, and Contact Center

  • Virtual or Physical CareCard for instant payment

  • Ability to redeem pre-approved benefits, request/replacement cards, and view payment history

  • Search providers or benefit packages, plus emergency call capability

For Providers:

  • Provider Tablet App and Web Portal to verify member eligibility, view benefits, and accept payments instantly
  • Closed-loop infrastructure ensuring faster settlement and reduced administrative burden
